Coalition for Israel Action

Purpose:

    1. To serve as the “nerve center” for the rest of the coalition.

    2. To help committees establish specific goals, priorities, and plans of action.

    3. To help avoid duplication of effort

    4. To funnel constant flow of information to appropriate committees

    5. To help committees communicate with each other and with the rest of the shul

    6. To direct outside inquiries to appropriate people and committees

    7. To direct internal inquiries to appropriate sources either within the shul, or to appropriate sources outside the shul

    8. To help address problems as they arise, and re-direct energies when appropriate

    9. To establish and constantly evaluate goals and priorities of the coalition as a whole as current events change and unfold.

Each of the individual committees has a steering committee liaison who is very closely involved with the work of the committee, attends their meetings, and works with the committee chairs and members on an ongoing basis.  In some cases, several steering committee members are involved with individual committees.
